Privacy Policy
BY USING THE WEB SITE YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY.

COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
The Clinician Investigator Trainee Association of Canada/Association des cliniciens-chercheurs en formation du Canada, hereinafter referred to as ‘CITAC/ACCFC', owns and operates a website located at the domain http://www.citac-accfc.org (‘the Web Site') and is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of its users (‘Users').

Collection
CITAC/ACCFC does not collect personal information about Users for the purpose of its Web Site except:
(a) when such personal information is provided to CITAC/ACCFC on a voluntary basis;
(b) to monitor traffic to the Web Site (e.g. via IP address, etc.); and
(c) to make decisions about and revisions to the Web Site including but not limited to any technical upgrades.
If personal information is collected from users of the Web Site, CITAC/ACCFC only uses this information to help it create and deliver content most relevant to users and to provide them with information about CITAC/ACCFC, its products and its services.
If a user chooses to provide information via the Web Site though member registration, surveys, forms or any other means, that information becomes the property of CITAC/ACCFC.

Use
CITAC/ACCFC reserves the right to use the information it collects to conduct statistical analyses through the use of data collected through the Web Site on an anonymous and aggregated basis in order to measure interest in and use of the Web Site or to carry out analyses of information provided on a voluntary basis through the Web Site or commissioned third party services. CITAC/ACCFC reserves the right to disclose its analyses based on such anonymous and aggregated data to third parties.

Disclosure
Personal information about users will not be sold or otherwise disclosed to unaffiliated third parties without the user's express consent, except where CITAC/ACCFC in the following circumstances:
(a) to its official affiliates identified on the Web Site;
(b) to protect and defend the rights or property of CITAC/ACCFC including but not limited to the Web Site; and
(c) to act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of CITAC/ACCFC or the public, or to protect the integrity of Web Site.

CITAC/ACCFC will not edit, monitor or deliberately disclose e-mail communications with any user(s) unless: (i) permitted or required to do so by law; (ii) permission to do so is granted by the user(s); or (iii) CITAC/ACCFC forms a reasonable belief that such action is necessary to:
(a) comply with the law;
(b) protect and defend the rights or property of CITAC/ACCFC including but not limited to the Web Site; and
(c) to act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of CITAC/ACCFC or the public, or to protect the integrity of Web Site.
However, by using the Web Site you acknowledge and accept that: (i) there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet which are beyond the control of CITAC/ACCFC (ii) the security, integrity and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and CITAC/ACCFC through the Web Site cannot be guaranteed; and (iii) despite the reasonable efforts of CITAC/ACCFC, any such information and data may be viewed or tampered with in transit by a third party for which CITAC/ACCFC is not in law responsible.
In addition, you agree to indemnify and save harmless CITAC/ACCFC and all of its constituents and stakeholders, and anyone for whom it is responsible at law, from any damages incurred as a result of a compromise to any and all personal information provided by you or anyone on your behalf.

AMENDMENTS TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
CITAC/ACCFC reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time and agrees to notify all users the existence of a new or modified Privacy Policy in a timely manner by means including, but not limited to, posting on the Web Site, or by any other means by which you obtain notice thereof. Such changes, modifications, additions or deletions shall be effective immediately. Continued use of the Web Site after such modifications will constitute the user's:
(a) acknowledgement of the modified Privacy Policy; and
(b) agreement to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
