CITAC as a Not-For-Profit Organization

main_header_ver02The Clinician Investigator Trainee Association of Canada (CITAC) has officially filed and received letters patent from Industry Canada recognizing CITAC as a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization according to the Canada Corporations Act.

The Clinician Investigator Trainee Association of Canada represents the interests of all Canadian trainees enrolled in a recognized clinical investigator training program combining clinical medicine with graduate research. The Association is comprised of and governed solely by volunteer clinical investigator trainees. As such, all activities carried out by CITAC and, where applicable, its affiliated institutions and partners, are in the interest of clinical investigator trainees and therefore do not generate a profit. Accordingly, CITAC applied for and has officially attained federal not-for-profit status in Canada.

The board of directors, executives and officials of CITAC look forward to furthering the benefits conferred to CITAC members and all Canadian clinical investigator trainees as a result of this initiative.
